The program will start with Dr. Miao-Ping Chien, principal investigator of a multi-disciplinary lab that combines single-cell technologies, sequencing and bioinformatics. She participated in the 2019 Venture challenge. Her business proposal, for a technology that can select specific cancer-driving cells, was one of the five to be allowed to join the program.
The second speaker is Dr. Chris Klijn. After doing a PhD and a postdoc, he started working at Genentech, where he led a research team. Since last year he has been leading the discovery data science department at Genmab. Genmab is a biotechnology company that creates and develops antibodies to be used as therapeutics.
