YoungCB organised a company visit to The Hyve on 3 Sept 2015. Around 20 young bioinformaticians from all over the Netherlands attended this successful company visit. The visit attracted a wide range of people from bachelor students to postdocs. First, CEO of the Hyve gave a great talk about the history and the vision of the company. We were then given a tour to get familiar with various positions in the company. Later, a few other talks with lively discussions were given by other employees which were more specific to open-source software projects currently running at the Hyve. We finished the event with drinks and great conversations with the staff and other fellow bioinformaticians. We thank the Hyve for the kind hospitality.
